On 28 May 2018, a solemn ceremony for Judge David D. Caron was held in the Great Hall of Justice, The Peace Palace, The Hague, The Netherlands. Speakers included President Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf of the International Court of Justice and President Nicolas Michel of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal.
Berkeley, California, USA
A Memorial for David, and a conference in his honour, was held at UC Berkeley School of Law on 14-15 September 2018. David's friends heard stories of his Berkeley days, his role as an inspiring teacher and scholar, and his love of music. To learn more see the website here.
Delos Dispute Resolution
Delos Dispute Resolution organised an online panel in David's honour, as the dedicatee of the inaugural edition of the Delos Remote Oral Advocacy Programme (ROAP) 2020. The panel took place on 15 October 2020, was chaired by ICJ President Joan Donoghue and featured Professor John Crook, Dr. Cian Murphy and Hafez Virjee.
